Probably the best ways of making you money go further is to be disciplined in the way you spend it.
Make a spending plan. Prioritise your spending. Having a roof over your head is probably the most important thing, so make sure you have enough for the true essentials.
When shopping, make a list and stick to it. Think about own brand foods and less heavily advertised goods, which tend to be cheaper. Never buy food when you are hungry.
Consider buying some items from second hand shops. There are plenty around these days. Often a charity shop in a 'posher' area will have better bargains than those in more deprived areas.
Consider whether you really need items at all and if so, why you need it. The best bargain is to buy nothing!
