A Conversation for How Do You Make a Little Money Go a Long Way?
Picking up pennies

It drives my friends crazy, but it's a leave-over from a childhood game ...I peripherally scan pavements, gutters (the road kind, not the water kind) and shop floors for dropped coins. On average I collect between 50p and £1.00 per week, although I have found fivers, pound coins etc. If I get spotted and feel uncomfortable about it I will "pass on the luck" by giving the coin to the nearest person, making me AND them feel good, and creating a smiley moment in their day. If I'm not spotted then it a small triumph against capitalism and the wastral society. It all adds up !!
