My birthday falls at the end of January - this is the worst possible time for a birthday (with the exception of christmas week) as everyone is skint, sick of buying presents, and trying to recover their health after the excesses of the party season.
Please, dear community, make a good job of this entry so that we late-Jan birtday people might have a better time of it, and don't have to buy so many drinks for other people on our own birthday...

The winter meets so far have always been on my birthday weekend, and the summer one is my boyfriend's birthday so I haven't been able to come to any! 
This year it is a wednesday so I can designate a weekend and have chosen the other one - so I am coming along to see if you really are all perverts and bunny boilers
