Yes indeed.

In the olden days, before computers revolutionised 'hatching', concrete had to be shaded in with all sorts of random scratchings and squiggles, plus some triangles.

Perhaps if one was to look through those drawings, giving carefuil scrutiny to the concrete hatching, one might find some revelations, some poetry and the odd expletive.

Who knows ... but something had to keep the draughtsmen amused.
