Further to Sheffield (well, dry slopes are ten-a-penny thesedays, even Stoke's got one!) there's places that offer real-man-made (?) snow, indoors, with all the ski-shops, bars etc you could want...OK, ok so you'd have to go to Tamworth or *shudders* Milton Keynes but you can't have your cake _and_ eat it now, can you

I've only been to Castleford, but it's definitely a lot better than skiing on plastic!
