I'm sure "I never predict anything, and I never will" has been used before. Probably by a sportsperson. It sounds like the sort of thing that Jimmy Hill or Paul Gascoigne might come out with.

Blair said it on the campaign trail (to use an Americanism) in 1997. It is, as you say, word for word, the same as a Paul Gascogine quote (interesting comparison
), but I thought it'd have more impact if I quoted Blair rather than some half-literate Geordie.
