A Conversation for Hanging Items Upon a Clothesline

The clothes prop is a wonderful gadget to raise or lower a single washing line strung across a garden. It is usually a wooden pole or post with a notch at one end to capture the line. However taut the line is, it will sag when loaded. Or, if the line is low intitially, the washing will benefit from being raised both to avoid trailing on the ground and to better catch any breeze.
With this type of washing line the larger items should be hung at the extremities, or they may dsngle on the ground when the line is lowered.
