A Conversation for Popular Christmas Carols

I get so "bah humbag" around this time owing to the rampant commercialism associated with modern Christmas, but a few carols can pull me right back when I was in a choir and this was my favourite time to sing!
Even though they may seem trite and a bit old-fashioned, the music of carols always lift my spirits.

I was at this entry yesterday, desperately searching for something neat to say, as I liked it a lot.
You gave me a good idea:
Me too!

There's no point in singing carols unless you're going to enjoy it. In the run up to Christmas we've had various sullen teenagers at our door mumbling "We wish you a merry Christmas, etc." under their breath and they expect me to give them money? If they were smiling and singing properly...
I stood outside Sainsbury's on Wednesday evening with my cub pack and we all smiled and sang and we made over £70 in half an hour.

The true idea here is really not the singing but the message, the mood and the spirit!
I'd donate a quid on the spot, if I met you, I am sure.
