I'm suprised that it wasn't mentioned that Harold 'Dickie' Bird is from Barnsley. Probably the best known cricket umpire in the world (retired).

Sorry about that - I'm not the world's best at that type of info and no-one who helped me put this together mentioned it to me.
The Barnsley local website presumably didn't either, unless I skimmed over it.
