Felix Leiter was not 'killed off' in "License to Kill". He was fed to a shark, but was still very much alive at the end of the film - you actually see him sitting up in bed in hospital. However, his legs would have been so badly mangled as to finish his active service with the CIA, so I suppose it works out the same.
The Bond cartoons in the Daily Express were *from* the 1950s, not just in the 1950s. I know this because my father used to read the Daily Express, and I can remember the cartoons in the early 1970s. I don't know how long they went on for, though.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
