A Conversation for Fast Food Restaurant Etiquette

I make my living in fast food and heartily agree with everything said here.
However there is one item overlooked.
Many modern fast food drive-through window stystems have two windows.
The first window is where you pay. the second is where you get your food.
As the cashier may have other duties it is not a good idea to imediately drive to the last window if the cashier is absent.
However it is also bad manners for the cashier to give other duties priority. The customer comes first. So The cashier should make every effort to be there.
If however they are fifteen or twenty seconds late, the customer should show patience and not just zip to the next window.
This falls under the category of treating each other as human beings.
