Two verse version

I'm trying to remember where (I've a suspicion it was a church event, maybe the remembrance day parade) but I've definitely sung a two verse version of this, which was verses one and three of your full thing. Anyone know if that's normal?

Yes this is quite common they don't sing all the verses because there are too many and you don't sing the first and second because the second is slightly politically incorrect

Oh flip, I just noticed that gets mentioned in the article. I *did* read it, honest.
To be really PC, you could take verse 4. 'Cept perhaps it should be siblings rather than brothers.
