Hi all,
Does our solar system have a scientific/official name or is it just called “The Solar System”, and if so, do other solar systems have names, or how do with differentiate between the solar systems? (Settle a bet
)

As far as I know it uses the name of the star.
Our sun is named Sol hence Solar System
Others have names like the zeta-2 reticuli system.
