It's the party of the year - you don't want to miss a thing, or a person! What am I talking about? The h2g2 Official Summer Party. To make sure that you don't miss out on talking to any of your h2g2 friends, enter the h2g2 Name Badge¹ competition!

We held a competition for the winter party, and some of the entrants were fantastic. Others were just on the right side of 'all right I suppose', but we're hoping for less of the small, round, white ones this year.

The person who creates the most artistic, creative and wonderful badge that conveys their h2g2 nickname will win a prize².

Here are the rules and some suggestions:

• No recycling of last meet-ups badges.

• Bonus points if you include a family motto³.

• Bonus points awarded for ingenuity – ie a name hat.

• Dogs or cat personas must wear name tags with the name of their owner clearly marked, or there will be fines.

• Baby photos are acceptable, indeed a must for those amongst us who enjoy poking fun.

• Anyone with a name badge will be put into a draw, and randomly selected to win one of a variety of cheap prizes⁴.
