Wow, I never realised what fascinating, versatile plants dandelions are! So many uses!
Now - how can I get rid of them?

Best method is to leave the flowers and pull all the leaves off every time they reappear. Only pick the flower when it starts to turn to seeds. The plants can't live without the leaves, so uses all its energy growing new ones and if you keep doing it they run out of energy as they can't replace it.
Or Roundup.
