I recently read the concluding volume in a series of Young Adult novels ( the 39 clues 'Into the Gauntlet' by Margaret Peterson Haddox)
on page 38 of chapter three Ms Haddox has her character relate the following
'into thin air, minds eye, comer full circle, - all the underlined words on this list.
Dan watched as Amy scrolled hrough the words and phrases there were hundreds of them.
... 'Aw come on . nobody uses a lot of these, Dan said, haver you ever in your life heard anyone say 'beggars all description?
they go on to say Shakespeare coined one of the eleven year old boys favorite words: puke.
he goes on to find insults he wants to use and Shakespeare coined a lot of those also( like thy tongue outvenoms all the worms of the Nile).
