Golden Jubilee
Hurray, hurray it’s Jubilee
A Golden triumph for all to see
The grandest sight in London yet
A proud day for England, for once not wet
Of singing and dancing, happiness reigned
For fifty years the Queen has remained
Upon her throne so regally blessed
Without doubt, she's one of England’s best
Hurray, hurray it’s Jubilee
A Golden triumph for all to see
Four days and more we have celebrated
Drinking good health to a Queen much debated
Laughing and cheering, waving flags of bright plastic
Oohhhing at fireworks, so explosively fantastic
Singing with pride, 'God Save The Queen'
A million or more throats, heard but not seen
Hurray, hurray it’s Jubilee
A Golden triumph for all to see
From fireworks to concerts, classical to pop
We listened with joy as the stages did rock
A golden procession through London in a Golden Coach
To speeches from well wishers, for everyone a few spoke
A parade of the years, with motorbikes and the odd toy
The decades were shown off, in a carnival of joy
Hurray, hurray it’s Jubilee
A Golden triumph for all to see
A long life we wish you your majesty
Hurray for the Queen we cry, 'God Bless She'
Though maybe not all your subjects would wish you good cheer
Several million of them do, in this your special year
So I would like to join them, and raise a glass in a toast
You are the perfect Golden Jubilee Girl, and that is no boast
