I've been amazed by Corrie recently. It's had its lulls like any other long-running show, but the last few months have been amazing - and even more so for managing to give all the older characters some cracking storylines. Who'd've thought we'd have ever cared about anything Ken Barlow did? That confrontation between him and Deirdre last month was one of the best scenes he's ever done.
Course, the Richard Hillman plot's even more shocking for any of us who remember him as nice Mr Hopwood in Grange Hill.

Yeah ive been shocked by the recent storylines in corrie but brian capron who plays richard hillman has given corrie a chance to win an award and of course that the storyline has made corrie popular the past few months with maxines death and the killing of his ex-wife.
I dont remember him had hopwood in grange hill but ive seen some clips of him and he's fantastic.
