For certain British generations, this small spot has a special place in their hearts.

5-16 primarily. It's shown in the children's TV slot.

wow 5-16 covers a whole lot of ground.
I guess the format works for the show really well then. A TV magazine idea could easily interest kids from across that range.

My wife and I are expecting our first, and I'll be damned if I'll have that purple f*****g dinosaur Barney in MY house (unless he starts EATING the kids).
So we're looking for kids entertainment stuff. . .

Too right. I am growing up in the latest stage of Blue Peter and Childrens TV and I have to say the british shows are far greater then the huge 'wod' of American 'garbage' on the screens today. stick with British

Strangely there are great shows for kids until they're about 6.
Seasame Street (jim Henson)
Mr. Roger's Neighborhood (Fred Rogers)
are both coordinted by educators of small children. Kids who what those shows leran letters, numbers and colors faster than kids who don't. They're great shows, but once kids start to get influenced by comercials on TV (5-6 and up) the shows get progressively worse.

There is nothing of worth specifically for 10 years olds.
