Rumbled!

It's a pleasure to edit this entry - am I that transparent in my choice of entries? smiley - winkeye

Have a look at it now - I've made one or two changes... nothing major, just tweaks.

Let me know what you think.

Well, the underlined link saying 'Ashley' was a bit of a giveaway! smiley - smiley

Can you point me to the paragraphs / sentences where you have made the changes?

Had a swift look - the only comment I would make is not to blockquote the shakespeare. It is just a line, and can be removed without taking any sense from the entry. If it is blockquoted it over emphasises it. And my point is about the power of myth, not the power of gods.

Like the links.

Looking good!

Ben

PS - will it get pictures?

Yay! I have checked it out. The only two other comments I have are:

smiley - star the quotation 'Theyshall grow not old' is actually correct. It sounds as if it should be 'They shall not grow old' and I cannot help wondering if in fact it is all based on a very early typo. But it is definitely 'grow not old as we who are left grow old'. I have just found a link. It is about halfway down the following page: http://ozbird.com/oz/anzac.htm (I kinda liked putting in a military quotation about her, since she was a peacemaker who was taken to her funeral on a gun-carriage).

smiley - star would it make sense to explain the stuff about Camilla as a Camilla Parker-Bowles, etc etc I am aware that there is a certain rhythm to the entry (I wrote it in a single sitting, very late one night, well ok, very early one morning actually).

Thats about it.

Thanks for the work on it.

I am glad you like it - and yes, I think it will provoke debate, it already has to some extent. It was one of those things which takes 20 years and about an hour and a half to write. The most difficult thing to explain is the concept that myths aren't actually lies. In fact I still find the whole thing very disturbing.

Thanks again!

All the best
