Dear BBC,
Why oh why oh why oh why are you rushing entries to edited status.
With the greatest of respect to the writer of the Brian Clough entry ... I think there is a distinct lack of depth. It's just a chronological history of where he was and the success he had. Why was Brian Clough such a good manager? What did he do to encourage his teams to play so well and overachieve? What about
They must have played a lot of games in his day, 251 goals in 274 games for Sunderland in ONLY 2 seasons. (Perhaps this is on top of his Middlesborough days, but it doesn't read like that).
He certainly didn't win the FA Cup in 1975, that was a final between West Ham and Fulham. I think West Ham won it. In fact that was always the last boundary for Clough to conquer. Winning the FA Cup. As you say he did manage to reach the final in 1991. But it was always talked about whether he would ever win it.
What about the FA's reluctance to make him England manager? Why was that? Probably his outspoken views.
I have to say this entry does not do justice to BC. Come on H2G2 get your act together.
Yours considering-not-paying-my-licence-fee,
BBS

he was also considered for the wales job, but Forest wouldn't let him do it on a part time basis. (Ireland also).

Dear Bright Blue Shorts,
Thanks for the feedback! Entries that come in via Peer Review are not necessarily exhaustive and there is certainly room for some more entries to be written on the same subject...
