As you say later in the entry, sometimes 'why?' means 'what is the cause of...?' and sometimes it means 'what is the purpose of...?' You're contradicting yourself here...
This is a good section, imo, but you need to introduce the two meanings of 'why?' before discussing each one.

Hello again,
Yes, I thought about when I was writing it. The point of the article, however, was to emphasise that people tend to for reductional answers to why questions these days, when once teleological answers sufficed.

Suddenly I see the light!
I have said the phrase: "Why would you want to do that?" too many times. What I actually mean is " thats a bloody stupid thing to do next time think before you act". No scratch that, I like the sarcasm of the first.
