i don't know about the lemon peel when it comes to things that aren't particularly nice to chew upon. i'm a lemon fan from way back and have been known to eat them like oranges. the skin is nice to chew on while working too. 'course i am a bit odd sometimes so pay no attention to my ramblings, i'm probably alone in my love of lemons
anyway, just thought i'd say i read the recipe and intend to try it this weekend when i get a moment to slow down and actually cook

Oh no, I love lemons. I think lemon meringue pie has to be one of the best things in the entire world, and a slice of lemon really adds something wonderful to a glass of cola, lemonade or even orange juice! Not to mention the glory a squeeze of fresh lemon juice can add to the humblest of meals.
But as for chewing on the peel - I can understand that with raw lemon, but the lemon peel which this recipe produces has been cooked, and I don't think it's anywhere near as nice.
