Hi, Greebo!
I was addicted to these books a few years ago, and I still re-read some of them. My favourites are the 'Dragonsinger' trilogy, 'Dragonsdawn', and the one about the Second Pass. Good series of entries!

the dragonsinger series are my favourites too, they always make me cry. i can't help but feel there should be more about the social evolution and history of the planet here, though that may not have been what you were going for. most of the details here seem to be from dragonsdawn and ignore what came afterwoulds.

The new one was pretty good, but my favorites are dragonsdawn, All the Wyers of Pern, and, well, in all truth I really can't decide! Anyone know when the next one's coming out?

Love the Harpers of pern series....Those are the ones I re-read constantly...total comfort reading these days. I just know the stories too well!!
Nice to know I ain't the only one who wants pet Fire-lizard (or am I just making assumptions here?)

Me too!
I once pretended I had a whole fair, and named a few of them after the Arthurian legends.
A dragon would be OK, too.

i always thought fire lizards would be more like cats than birds, in behaviour at least, but that may just be becauase i love cats
