A Conversation for Isaac Newton: The Feuds
A better accounting of Newton's wrath

From reading other accounts, it was always unclear to me why Newton chose to publicly make an example of this man (for drawing and quartering had been forbidden in Christendom of the Roman empire over 1,000 years earlier by Constantine the great).
Such abominable punishment seemed out of character with one of the greatest scientific minds humanity has thus far ever produced.
Chaloner was a thoroughgoing nemesis of Newton and the Royal Mint.
Many thanks for a great history lesson.
