I don't know if anyone else has posted this, and I'm sorry to be a nitpicker, but FYI: in THE SEVENTH SEAL Max Von Sydow is playing chess with Death, not the Devil.
Loved the article. And bravo for commending the age makeup on Father Merrin. In THE EXORCIST Max looks almost exactly the same as he does now.
