innovated mastication muscles?

Here's another perfectionist drawing attention to a typo in http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A706808.
A sentence in the rubric Chewing (Mastication) reads: "The muscles involved in mastication are mainly innovated by the motor branch of the fifth cranial nerve, ..."
Even if the two words sound alike, innovate (introduce something new) is rather different from innervate (pass nerve filaments through body tissue) and the sentence should read: "The muscles involved in mastication are mainly INNERVATED by the motor branch of the fifth cranial nerve, ..."
