my bf of five years split up with me. I personally feel the house got in the way of our relationship and split us up. It was his idea to have it and he wanted a project. All I wanted was to be with him. He said things that irritated and said I'd got angry etc. He even said that my parents must not have loved me mujch if they got nannies/opares to look after me when i was younger. He has stayed a friend on Face... but I have wondered why and he has his house warming party soon, he has not returned any of my cds etc It's been nearly two months and I still hurt

You need to get your CDs back, but in my opinion, I wouldn't go to his housewarming or stay a 'Friend' on Facebook. He seems to be keeping you dangling. Just stay polite and neutral. Then you will be ready to move on from this sad experience. You will be stronger for it though Opti.

lanzababy for this advice I do indeed feel like I'm dangling. I have replaced my cds by buying them in the sales but there's still other stuff down there unless he's done something with them. I haven't been invited to this house warming thing yet.

Find a friend to come with you and pick up all your stuff from the house. Then cut the contacts. I don't think you can expect an invitation to the housewarming.

It's really rough going through a split (see my journals) but when it's not a good relationship, you're better out of it. Horrible for a while, true, but it does really get better.
