A Conversation for 'Monty Python's Flying Circus' - the Television Series
Cheese Shop and Ted Ruby (I am not a clown)

I am trying to track down a short routine of a musician (Ted Ruby) being interviewed on song composition. He proceeds to sing the song, "I am not a clown". Could this be from one of the Cheese Shop skits? If not, any help would be most appreicated.

Can't help you there, I'm afraid... I imagine 'The Cheese Shop Presents' was broadcast long before the BBC started keeping digital downloadable copies of its radio shows.
Good luck finding a copy!

Actually, I have a (the)recording and I am trying to find the origin of it. It's been suggested this may have come from the Cheese Shop broadcasts.

I've found two websites that seem to confirm that 'Ted Ruby' was a character from 'The Cheese Shop Presents':

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cheese_Shop
Does that help..?

Thanks - I'm relatively sure this is it; though I'd love to get verification somewhere.
Thanks for your assistance.
