A Conversation for Monty Python - a Brief History

Monty Python's brand New Bok; silly story

Post 1

Veers Revett, Imperial Assassin & Palbert, the once-fat cat. (Happy to see someone VERY special has joined h2g2)

When I bought my copy of Brand New Papperbok (the paperback version of the Bok, obviously), I found it was reduced in price from 4.95 GBP to 1.95 GBP.

While paying for it I casually asked the bookshop lady, 'Why the reduction?' I was prepared to be told that they couldn't sell it, which would have been too sad.

'Well,' she said, 'We couldn't sell it at full price with all those nasty dirty fingerprints all over the cover.' Rather than explain the truth I just tried to keep a straight face and kept my head down as I briskly left the shop.

Should I feel guilty for reducing Python's royalties?
