Just a note that the new version of Opera has come out: 7
Whilst still in beta, it is very stable and boasts some useful new features: improved standard's compliance (although i find i still have to use internet explorer for some java pages: that, though is mainly down to poor implementation aimed at ie only), smaller & faster (than both mozilla & ie i find, equivalent to phoenix), password saving, small screen rendering (fantastic innovation for display normal web pages on a small screen), better skinning, a 'fast-forward' button (that takes you to the most likely next link on a page - great for skipping between conversations on h2g2)and a links listing for each page.
On the down side, the free version remains ad-ware, and standards compliance still needs some work (mozilla/phoenix is better on this score) Overall though, well worth a try
