Well, I wish I'd had the foresight to read this before I came to UCI, but alas, I didn't. Actually, maybe it's better this way, since now that I've moved my family 1200 miles (from Montana), I'm sort of stuck.
You are spot on. It's frightening, really, how much people drive around in their shiny cars, with their cosmetically enhanced face/body/teeth, and just expect you to believe it's real. Perhaps it is the proximity to LA, but in LA, you expect it to be fake. Here, it just is.
Be that as it may, we are thinking about a SoCal mini-meet. Would you be interested?
