Yeah, seaweeds are algae. Lava is a type of seaweed. I can't say I've had lava bread, but I've seen the lava. You know that sort of green stuff? lots of thin strands of it, sort of hair thickness, maybe thicker. The same colour as green highlighers. Anyway, you find lava in the same sorts of places. It's browny orange, but it doesn't come in threads. Instead, it's more letteuce- like.

Well, perhaps Noggin can inform us further on just what lava-bread tastes like. I've always heard that eating algae is quite healthy.

what are you up to today, Roadkill?

Researcher 185550 Posted Jul 5, 2003
Indeed, it could be.
I'm packing mainly, I'm going scuba diving tomorrow so I need to get packed.

What a strange turn this thread has taken - an unexpected twist, almost.

what else could one possibly expect???

Perhaps this, as the following statement will explain. I was walking down the
And tha's all I have to say about tha'.

that was not even remotely amusing, Fnord - try again.

Well, I hope you're pleased. Now I'm sulking.

azahar Posted Jul 5, 2003
Noggin - where are you?
what the hell is lava-bread?
Sold, our years preening plucky, Chump?
Mal Posted Jul 5, 2003
I was going to choose to sulk and not reply for ages, but there's been no more replies on any of my many threads for days (especially after my nonsensical outburst on the "God?" thread), so I've come crawling back.
*crawl*.

I'm sure we'd laugh, Fnord, if we understood the joke . Why don't you explain to us?
Have fun Scuba diving Roadkill. What's everyone else up to? I won't be around much for the next week and a half, my German exchange is here, and she needs pretty much 24 hour looking after.

Fnord,
(how soon they forget . . .)
I totally agreed with one of your postings, asking all those god questions - I answered yes. Heck, Noggin only said he'd have to get back to you but I said yes.
So unappreciated, so easily forgotten. May have to go off for a sulk myself . . . *slinks away*

hi Clare,
Can't you just send her to the movies?

Clare Posted Jul 6, 2003
az,
Not on her little lonesome, she'd get lost!! Nor can we do anything like that on a Sunday (she's quite strict Catholic). She's lovely, but quite hard work to look after. Anyway, we're just off swimming now, that being allowed on a Sunday .
Clare.

Clare,
Oh dear. Well, have fun swimming. BTW, does this mean you get to go to Germany and make people take care of you totally for awhile?

az to the God questions, I assumed (and still do) that your "Yes." was sarcastic and intended in the right, let's all back away now-manner.

Fnord,
The 'yes' was an honest yes.
Sarcastic - me????
Oh, well, okay, can maybe see why you thought this. Though I think I am usually more ironic that sarcastic. Anyhoodle, I wasn't being either this time.
Learn to trust a bit. Especially your friends. I would never be openly sarcastic to you on a thread (well, except for this one, from time to time).
kisses,
az

"Kisses"? Whatever happened to "kissitos"?
Anyway - since you said that post, I've been trying to read it in a different way in my head, with different voices, tones, emphasis, etc, but I literally can't imagine it in a non-sarcastic way, so I'll take your word for it.
It was a /bit/ of a short reply for such a long post, if it was meant to be serious.
Key: Complain about this post
