A Conversation for George Harrison - a Tribute
"Portrait of a Leg End"

Excellent article! (I think I saw it in its previous life, and it continues fine.) Thank you all for putting it in the Guide.
One little thing - I believe my reading of most of the 'final' interviews with GH indicated that the album-in-progress was/is to be titled "Portrait of a Leg End" rather than "...Legend" - a typical example of George's love of a good pun. (Or was it love of a bad pun? I forget...)
But things get a little garbled sometimes here in the States; I might have mis-read...

True - when I originally wrote the article I had the album called "Portrait of a Leg-end", but the "-" seems to have been edited out...
Apparently one of the initial ideas for the cover was to have a Monty-Python-style foot squashing George Harrison - but we'll have to see what happens.
I'll get in contact with the editors and ask them to correct this.
BTW - Aaliyah's "More Than A Woman" should not be confused with the Bee Gees song of the same name.

An excellent article, indeed.
I was gonna point out the "leg-end" thing, but 7rob7 beat me to it.
The only other thing I'd point out is that "Double Fantasy" was not released after John Lennons death. I had to do some searching, but "Double Fantasy" was released on 15 November 1980 and John was shot on 8 December 1980. The reason I knew this was inaccurate was because I was listening to the album when a report of the shooting came on TV.

"Milk and Honey" was John Lennon's posthumous album, released in 1982. It contained left overs from the Double Fantasy sessions (intended to be completed for the next album)and some tracks recorded after Lennon's death by Yoko.

... And then the album was called "Brainwashed."

I think that was due to marketing pressure. Seems a bit in poor taste, changing the name of his final album after his death...
