Prior to starting this entry I contacted the editors (Peta & Mark Moxon) and warned them it was coming...

It should be noted that the original unedited entry was created approx. 3 months after the events of 11 September 2001 and the site, at that time, was post moderated (all posts and entries were checked by a moderator within 1 hour of them being edited/posted).

As can be seen from that thread, every time the entry was edited during the Peer Review process it was hidden until it could be checked out by the editorial staff.

It was finally approved for the edited guide on January 2, 2002 and has not been changed, in so far as I can see, since.

However, after this date it has attracted comments and one interesting response from Sam, a BBC editorial staff member can be seen here... F81879?thread=162077

And... After being visible,viewed dozens of times by BBC staff and checked several times over a period of 5 years, 9 months and 24 days, it gets deleted...

It's not actually deleted, just hidden. I can still see it because I'm a curator, and I think I could actually restore it by making changes to it. But we need a decision by the Eds.

Yup, without them telling us just what they want to change it's going to be a guessing game...
