Great job on this entry especially from a heathen who fails to see the true brilliance of the programme!!! Seriously though, spot on with the Kazon who were far too derivative. I do think that having a female captain was entirely true to Rodenberry's vision of equality, and it was this that made the dynamics of relationships on board Voyager the most fascinating of the entire canon. As for 7 of 9, well I think that becoming one of the strongest characters in any series (after being brought in to give the 30 something nerds, who would never get lucky in real life, someone to get excited over) despite her obvious attributes was testament to Jeri Ryan who was brilliant.
Nothing more to say except

Oh I forget to say something to you GB! Sorry, I subbed these entries whilst ill and so spent very little time actually online with them, more time offline, so forgot to message you.
I added a few details to this entry, purely because Voyager is the one I know most about. I added a few context and character details which are either obscurely in a few episodes or very few of the details may be in books or director interviews. Hope that was okay, I did check each "fact" twice before including
Well done on all of these, I was very impressed each time I read them, and seeing as I read them each about seven times this is good

I really enjoyed this - I love Voyager, and am enjoying watching the double bill that's just started on Five. Hate the ads though!
I only started watching the new Star Trek shows as my brother told me they made good use of surround sound, so I started watching TNG. I moved onto Voyager and much prefer it - although they are working towards home, rather than away from it, I think it shares more with the original series than any of the other spin-offs. They regularly meet new species, often buggering things up (for instance capturing life forms because they don't recognise anything that's not humanoid as being alive) and having to worry about losing technology to species that can't cope with it, etc.
Didn't Kez turn into a, er, ball of mental energy or something? Saying that she was forced to leave the ship doesn't sound quite right - she left because she had got to the end of her humanoid life, and moved onto the next one, unlike most of her race who just died instead.
As for details, I'm happy to suspend my disbelief when I watch this, although the last episode was crap, crap, crap!! They should have asked the fans to write it, they'd have come up with something believable. I won't watch it again.
Thanks for the entry!

Well even though Voyager is my least favourite Star Trek (I don't think it's bad, just average), I do agree that the final episode was son of a like a cattle herder.
Sorry, I got a little angry there.

I did that while I was watching it!
Some people say that Enterprise's finale is the worst of them all, and while it is eye-rollingly bad, you have to factor in that it only wastes one hour of your life, not two.

Have to admit I haven't seen that one. I watch them sometimes if there's nothing else on, but I like the friendly cosiness of Voyager too much.

I didn't ever really watch that. That irritating person was on it all of the time. I saw a few, but didn't really get into it, and they never repeat that sort of thing.

Irritating person? On DS9? Nope, I can't think of any. The thing about DS9, I find, is that while there's irritating characters in it, they were written to be irritating, wheras on Voyager they were written to be good but came accross as irritating. Such as Janeway; I found her to be very irritating at times, whereas Kai Winn, who was very irritating, I thought was a great character that was well written and well acted.
But DS9 is one of those shows that you have to grow into. It's more complex and thought provoking and to really get it you have to watch it from the first episode through to the last.

I didn't find any of Voyager irritating. In fact I found much to admire of a few of their characters .
It was a ferengei (scuze spelling if wrong) who was annoying me.
I don't like watching those ones you have to watch all of them to get it. I haven't got time to make sure I'm always in front of the tv at the right time. I'm always missing important episodes of things I like. It's getting on my nerves now!
I wish I had all day long to sit in front of the tv watching these shows.

Forgot that I might be starting a phaser war!! As Gene might say we should embrace our differences and move on to the stars!! The finale of Voyager was really that glorious moment when Neelix flew away!!
