Queen Victoria's Birthday

Canadians celebrate the coming of spring on the 24th of May, often referred to as 'May 2-4 weekend', because it is the first chance to get drunk and stupid in a provincial campground. Coincidentally beer is solid in cases of 24.
Queen Victoria's Birthday is also the rule-of-thumb planting time for tender plants, such as annual bedding plants, in Southern Ontario.
