I've never liked my little brother. It doesn't help that he's the favourite of the family. I know everyone thinks at one stage or another that the other sibling is the favourite, but I happen to know this.

It's an easy thing to discern when your only present parent takes great joy in telling you you were a mistake and should never have been born.

oh sweety, I'm so sorry.

Is it your brother you hate or your 'parents'?

just to be evil,

what would happen if oyu turned your brother against them? I dont advise doing it, but it's a nice dream........

oh, and by the way, all brothers are horrrid till they grow up so dont expect much until he's at least 30.
my brother is lovely, but he's just an exception. think about all the blokes you know, I bet most of them are horrid too. thats just what people are like. you have to pick the good ones carefully

make good friends and make THEM your family.

I honestly couldn't say. Sometimes I hate him, sometimes I hate my mother. My father I've never been able to bring myself to hate. When he's been around (he works and lives overseas for most of the year) he's always treated me well.

I couldn't turn him against them though. I've moved out of home and I'm getting on with my life, and apart from the occasional spate of bitterness I'm just moving away from them.

I am a youngest sibling..... and I had a very different relationship with my one parent than my other siblings....I didn't find out this until I was in my late thirties, I thought everything was all rosy in the garden of Eden. Your sib may not see things the way you do.

Dur to various odd coincidences we, as sibs, have got a lot closer as we all got older and got (maybe) wiser and discussed all this, it was amazing to see our different perspectives on our upbringing and the way we reacted to various family events.

I would try and talk about it to your sib and if this doesn't help, just back off but don't cut cut yourself off. Family, like it or not, has something that friends don't have.....and vice versa of course ... thank god!.
