A Conversation for Remembrance Day
Note on Veteran's Day
wyseman101 Started conversation Nov 11, 2008
At least in the US, Veteran's Day (aka Remembrance Day, Poppy Day, etc.) is not just to remember the fallen soldiers. It is to remember all veterans of any wars, dead or alive, that have fought for our country or any country. We have a Memorial Day in May especially for fallen soldiers, but Veteran's Day, held on November 11, the day of the Armistice of World War I, is for all soldiers.
And now a moment of silent remembrance and honor for all soldiers who have fought bravely for any country or cause. Thank you for your contribution and willingness to give your life for the lives of others.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
