Last week, as I was removing outdated blueprints from long plastic storage tubes, I noticed a clear, deep, resonant note when I tapped the tubes on the floor. The sound made me think of didgeridoos. I kept tapping one on the floor, pondering what would be needed to make it play. Little did I know...I was holding a didge at the time! Sweet!
What a kick to find this article just now. Thanks so much for the clear instructions. I'll be giving it a try.

Howdy, Hoovooloo!
Your response sounds sooooo Australian. How wonderful!!! I've always been fascinated with Australia, and things Australian. I'm on the opposite side of the planet... in Canton, Ohio, USA. Perhaps that's the source of my interest...a far-off country, a place I'll likely never see... but would love to see.
I read a story called "Walkabout" when I was a kid. It talked about the Dreamtime, and I'll never, ever forget it. I loved that book.
I'm sorry to say that I haven't tried the didge yet. I brought a tube home this week. It will need a washing because it's rather dusty, and there's an endcap glued-on that will need to be removed before I can give it a try. I'm REALLY looking forward to it. I'll keep you updated on my progress.
Please excuse this delay. I just bought a shiny new computer about three weeks ago, and I've been talking to Aussies on h2g2 ever since. I'm obsessed. This month has been my first time on the internet talking, so I'm EXTREMELY excited about this.
Your article was completely fascinating in its information and I was thrilled to get a post from you. You'll be hearing from me soon.
Sincere thanks again, Hoovooloo!

I just realised that you're in the UK at present, not Australia.
Forgive my procrastination, I haven't been away from my keyboard since finding h2g2, except for having to go to w**k. I'll pry my fingers away very soon... ...promise.
