As Stuart Hall has now fallen from grace (June 2013) and is serving a fifteen month sentence for child sexual abuse, the Jimmy Saville effect applies - a show tainted by association is hardly likely to be revived, alas. I really do hope the BBC doesn't wipe or "lose" any archive tapes, as this was such an infectiously fun show and such a product of its times that it really ought to go into the appropriate time capsule. But if old TOTP footage can never be shown again because of Saville's crimes, regardless of its musical importance, i don't hold out much hope...
