Paul Robeson
FroodBoy [ACE] Started conversation Jan 8, 2002
Paul Robeson was a singer at the time, whose father was a Negro slave in America. He was blacklisted after he gave a concert in Moscow where he sang several Negro spirituals, such as 'Old Man River' and a song about a man framed for murder, 'Joe Hill'. He also sang the Song of the Warsaw Ghetto Rebellion, at a time when Stalin was killing Russian Jews.
