A Conversation for Harps

Kantele

Miranda (Make tea! Yes, Cissdur, it's still me)

I recently had the opportunity to try a kantele from the Russian part of the Karel(?). I don't suppose it counts as a harp, since the strings are stretched over the soundbox itself, but what would you call this family of instruments? Cithers? We have a similar folk instrument in Norway, the langeleik.

Gnomon - time to move on

I think that the Kantele belongs to the Zither family.
