Populous : The Beginning and the recent remake of Battlezone deserve a mention. Both games are utter classics and pushed back the boundaries of real time strategy far more than even C&C by blending it with role-playing and first person shooters. And while you're at it, how about Dungeon Keeper and Sacrifice?

What about the Age of Empires series, some of the biggest selling RTS games in the world? There are a lot of surprising omissions in this article.

Urban Assault was neither smooth nor sophisticated, but it was a hell of a lot of fun, and had more units than you could shake a tank at.

These were pointed out to the author at the time of peer review (see http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/F74308?thread=133212). However, it does seem that the author did miss these points out. It's a shame, but we can't force them to write these extras.

But presumably someone can write a better, more inclusive article with a different title?
So an article called "RTS - Real Time Strategy computer games" written by someone with more effort could be more inclusive and would hopefully replace this article in time?

(This is not a question, it's a hint!)
