Good entry. Concise and to the point.
The important message to all is to MAKE A WILL! It really doesn't matter how old you are. If you have dependents it is especially important to ensure that they are looked after. As soon as we got married and bought our first house we made wills. We were in our 20s and like many at that age believed we were immortal.
I would also suggest that paying for the services of a solicitor when making a will is much safer that buying a blank from WH Smiths. If the solicitor makes a mistake your beneficiaries have some come-back.
If you are in a Trade Union you might find that they provide will making services cheaply through an arrangement with agent solicitors.

I would definitely make a will( if I had anything to leave but debts).
Late Aunt had told me it was all mine but, as she died intestate, I got a twelfth.

Well, this Ed (Sam) hasn't yet, but should do. If I go before my wife, she'll get the lot. Which incidentally you could comfortably fit in a small cardboard box

Hi Sam
This assumes that you have no long-lost Patagonian 3rd cousin looking for a new roof for his Llama shed!

Mmmm... good point. I may need to read Bruce Chatwin's 'In Patagonia' again just to make doubly sure
