I was under the impression you had to put down any qualifications you have completed, or any of their components. Still, they didn't bother to give me 'How to Apply' this year. Scumbags.

Yeah, but if you decertificated, then you don't have the qualification. You don't *have* to put everything down, but if you don't, the admissions tutors might think you're hiding something.

Re: personal statements - my first one was decidedly cr*p talking about all my acedemic interest (ie the books I got out the library but never quite got around to reading). My second PS however was a completely different matter (I switched uni and course after one yr) I'd already been accepted so the UCAS form was a formality - I'm afraid it went to my head a bit. I can't remember exactly but I do remember the first line, I was applying for a geology course so I kicked it off with
"When not staring intently at rock I enjoy..."
I now work in the admissions department for my old uni and am trying desparately to get hold of a copy of it. No luck so far but I've only been ere a few months!
