h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

The article ion the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company contains an error which is not unimportant. In connection with the company's demise in 1982, you write that 'Arts Council Funding was reduced'. This is incorrect; despite applications, the company never received any financial support from the Arts Council; it was the negative (snobbish?) attitude of the Arts Council which was a major contributory factor in the closure of the company. Perhaps this error could be corrected.

I offer my appologies for the error - I'll check my sources more fully in future.
