What can I say, I loved it... (yes, I was in the under sixteen age group at the time... grin...)
The best shows were the ones where they did really badly, and you could will them to do even worse, and the ones where they did really well, and then of course you would take their side
It wasn't as good as Knightmare, though - now *that* was a truly great gameshow.

Lately they have been repeating it on cable both on uk gold and challenge tv, where you can see such other classiccs as telly addits.
Myself it had to be richard o'brain didn't like ed tudor-pole he was just trying to be o'brian and not managing...

I absolutely loved the show aswell. And yes, I was also in the under 16 age group. I still think that it is original. Fort Boyard does not really compare.

I think that it is best left to the past though. Maybe my tastes have changed. Or maybe those rose tinted glasses are at work. If it came back it might spoil it all.

I prefer "the crystal maze" to "knightmare". I thought "the crystal maze" was more fun.
