The flowers of the plant "Delphinium" I love the most because of it's magnificent pastel colours, straight all high above the ground.
Sensual, fragile but a reliable revisitor every year.

I did try to grow some of those this year, but the weather has been against me. As I've got lots of wildlife, seedlings don't often last very well, and with the bad weather I've not been able to get out into the garden as much as I'd have liked.
Nice pictures!

I just discovered that the pictures show the long standing ones.
I prefer the smaller ones, which fits with their strenght (no need for support) and their "identity"(fragile/pastel colours).
At the picture they are showing hard, rather extreme colours, but I've always had a "mild" variaty.
One can also even look through the very thin flowers.
After cutting and putting these inside it's sheer beauty to watch.
