One of my best friends was nicknamed "Digger" at school because her initials were unfortunately JCB...

This may be another dumb Yank question, but I can't think of anything wierd or offensive with the initials JCB.
Granted, I defend my Ph.D. in four days, so my brain very likely isn't running at full efficiency.
Thanks,
Craig Steffen (Yank, originally Minnesotan, now Indianan)

JCB is a major company that produces diggers and heavy plant etc. In fact, in the UK at least, the big yellow diggers and machinery that you see around are generally referred to as simply 'JCBs'.

My mum was christened Janet Ann Williams, which was bad enough in itself. But when I tell you that she trained as a nurse, and then married Raymond Brewster, you can see that things didn't improve.
Maybe her bad experience with names (coupled with my dad's-names down his line went "Arthur - William Arthur - Stanley William Arthur - Dennis Stanley William Arthur - Raymond") anyway, maybe this is why neither my sister nor I have a middle name. Kate(me) and Mary. No problem, right? Well, only in chemistry classes. I'm getting sick of calcium silicate ...
